Overview
The Lemosho Route is considered one of the most scenic and beautiful routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. It starts from the western side of the mountain at Londorossi Gate and crosses the expansive, remote Shira Plateau. The trail offers stunning panoramic views, passes through varied ecosystems including rainforest, heathland and alpine desert, and provides excellent acclimatization before joining the Machame Route near Lava Tower on the final ascent to Uhuru Peak.
