Nakupenda (Swahili for **“I Love You”**) is a stunning **pop-up sandbank** that appears at low tide just off Stone Town. It features powdery white sand surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters — one of the most photographed spots in Zanzibar. Perfect for swimming, snorkeling, relaxing, and romantic beach picnics.

8:30 – 9:30 AM
Boat Departure from Stone Town
Meet your guide at the harbor. Board a traditional dhow or speedboat for a scenic 15–30 minute ride to the sandbank area.
10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Time on the Sandbank
Relax on the pure white sand, swim in the shallow turquoise lagoon, and enjoy the breathtaking views. The water is so clear you can see your feet even in waist-deep areas.
11:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Snorkeling & Marine Life
Snorkel around the sandbank to see colorful coral, tropical fish, and sometimes small reef creatures. Gear is usually provided.
1:30 – 3:00 PM
Beach Picnic Lunch
Enjoy a fresh seafood BBQ or tropical fruit lunch prepared on the sandbank (included in most tours). Many tours also stop at Prison Island on the way.

Return to Stone Town
Boat back to the harbor. You’ll return relaxed with beautiful memories and photos from this magical “I Love You” sandbank.
